History:Descendant of Salazar Slytherin, and son of a Muggle and a witch, You-Know-Who's actual name is Tom Riddle. However, he has discarded that name and goes by the title of Lord Voldemort, a title which most wizards fear to call him by. To understand the reason of that fear, we must look at his background life.
At his birth, Riddle's mother had died. His father had abandoned him after finding out that Tom's mother was a witch, so Tom was raised in a Muggle orphanage. From there, he went onto Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he acquired education regarding his magical ability under the headmaster, Professor Dippet. From the start, it was clear that Riddle was no normal wizard. His brilliance, and magical skill distinguished him from other wizards, but it was particularly his thirst for the dark arts that differentiated him from others. In his sixth year, Tom opened the Chamber of Secrets, and controlled a Basilisk through his extraordinary ability to speak to snakes. The Basilisk terrorized the school, until Hogwarts was on the edge of closing down. At that, Tom pinned the blame on Rubeus Hagrid, and closed the Chamber of Secrets again. Tom's desire for evil doings is attributed to his inheritance of magical and characteristic values from Salazar Slytherin, one of the founders of Hogwarts, and it may come as no surprise that Riddle was in the house of Slytherin. While Tom was at Hogwarts, he breached limits to acquire knowledge about the dark arts. After his seventh year, Tom graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
After graduating, Tom travelled far and sank deeper into the forbidden territories of dark magic. He underwent many different magical transformations, so that when he resurfaced as Lord Voldemort, it was hard to recognize him. With his great power, Lord Voldemort organised a band of followers called the Death Eaters. With their help, Voldemort began to terrorize the Wizarding community by killing countless wizards and Muggles, destroying families, and throwing the Wizarding World into an era of dark age. People began to dread this powerful dark sorcerer so much, that they could not even call him by his name, and referred to him as You-Know-Who or He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
However, Voldemort's power was broken when he finally met his match in a 1 year-old boy named Harry Potter. Voldemort arrived at the house of two powerful wizards, Lily Potter and James Potter, and killed them. Then he turned onto their baby, Harry Potter, and used the curse that had killed many powerful great wizards. For reasons unknown, the curse could not touch the boy and rebounded upon You-Know-Who. The Dark Lord should have been killed by the curse, but he was not. Instead of killing the Dark Lord, You-Know-Who was reduced to a worthless, weak spirit, with no powers left. Horrified, the thing that was now You-Know-Who fled far away. So far, the he did not resurface for 10 years.
Harry Potter became famous, and the Wizarding World emerged from the dark age. However, all was not as it seemed. When Harry Potter was 11 and in his first year at Hogwarts, You-Know-Who made an unsuccessful attempt to acquire a 'Philosopher's Stone' that was being kept guard at Hogwarts under the eye of the powerful headmaster, Albus Dumbledore. The stone had the Elixir of Life and would return You-Know-Who to his true form. Although Albus Dumbledore's power equally rivalled that of You-Know-Who, the only wizard to do so, it was not Dumbledore who thwarted You-Know-Who's effort. Harry Potter, along with his two companions, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley managed to prevent You-Know-Who from having the stone, which was destroyed as soon as Dumbledore found about You-Know-Who's efforts.
But You-Know-Who made another effort yet again. In Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts, You-Know-Who's sought the help of a faithful Death Eater, and with his help, managed to return back to power once again. Voldemort was strong and back amongst the Wizarding World. In Harry's fifth year, Voldemort attempted to retrieve a copy of a prophecy located in the Ministry of Magic. Many times, Harry would have visions of the door to the room where the prophecy was located opening, and Harry entering (presumably seeing through Voldemort's eyes). Harry would make his way into the room to retrieve it for the Dark Lord, but would awake every time covered in a cold sweat.
This famous prophecy, which Dumbledore heard in the Hog's Head bar, predicted the following:
"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches ... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies ... And the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not ... And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives ... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..."
It is because of these reasons that the Dark Lord had to get his hands on the prophecy, and hear it in full. In the process, he broke ten Death Eaters out of Azkaban to help him. Again, his attempts were unsuccessful, due to Harry Potter and his companions. The Ministry of Magic then announced that Voldemort was alive and back in the Wizarding World. You-Know-Who had returned to full power.
Appearance: A black cloak, no one has seen his face
Personality: hungry for power wanting to be the most powerful warlock in the world
Occupation (This includes Deatheater and Ghost): Deatheater

"I would tell you but then I'd have to kill you....It's Voldemort!" Voldemort took out his wand, Blastos spirallius, and bolt of flame-covered lightning shot out of the end of the wand and knocked both guards to the ground.
